Michael is a Devon based illustrator and scenic artist who has produced outstanding illustrations for advertising, publishing, museums and heritage centres for over thirty years. He is creatively motivated, experienced and multi disciplined. His professional approach ensures all his clients are given an exceptional service. He works traditionally and is highly skilled, able to respond to a clients brief with precision and dedication adapting his style to fit perfectly to what is asked of him.

Michael delivers consistently across diverse projects no matter how large or small, whether it is a finely detailed line illustration, a delicate watercolour, or a large scale sprayed mural. Whatever the size the client will get a professional dedicated service.

His work capability ranges from advertising, packaging, display graphics and models, interpretive panels for the heritage sector, and technical airbrush illustration. Over the years he has worked for many major European advertising agencies, record companies and organizations like the BBC, ITV, The National Trust, and British Waterways. In the publishing field he has illustrated books for David & Charles, Franklin Watts, Hamlyn, and Victor Gollanz, also newspapers such as The Sunday Times and The Observer, and a large number of trade journals covering a wide variety of subjects.

The scenic painting has been extensively produced for museums and heritage centres both in the UK and abroad creating backdrops for sets (figures and models), installations, murals and painted effects working traditionally in a variety of styles from the impressionistic to trompe l’oeil finishes.
